Principles On the Sermon on The Mount — September
This course will emphasize the primary principles contained within the Sermon on the Mount. It is a message that Jesus gave to His disciples early in His ministry. It describes what the life of a Christ-follower would look like under the gracious rule of God, and how it differs from the people around them. It also sets the terms of the New Covenant that God offers to mankind, which promises eternal spiritual blessings.
PNEUMATOLOGY (Study of the Holy Spirit)- November
The primary emphasis in this course deals with the person of the Holy Spirit. Don’t let the third person in the Godhead be a mystery to you. Understand what the Bible says about the Holy Spirit. In this basic pneumatology (i.e., the doctrine of the Holy Spirit) class, students will examine the Biblical teaching of the work of the Holy Spirit, discuss
how the Holy Spirit works in the life of the believer and understand the historical views of the person and work of the Holy Spirit.
REVELATION – January
This course will provide students with an understanding of the concepts of end times. It will also include a study of Christ and the seven churches, Christ and the earth judgment, the seven seals opened, the seven trumpets sounded, the beasts and their warfare, the seven bowls poured out, Christ, Christ and his victories, Christ and his
bride and the final exhortations and benediction.
Hermeneutics – February
The discipline (science & art) of Biblical interpretation. This course will cover the major Biblical genres that comprise the Old and New Testaments and how to understand them. Students learn the skills of observation and literary analysis so that they can become competent at biblical interpretation.
Ecclesiastes – May
This is an in-depth study of Ecclesiastes with special emphasis on practical application. It will encourage students to have a proper, healthy viewpoint concerning physical pleasures, material goods and will help students understand that God wants us to have proper priorities.
Classes begin Tuesday, September 12, 2023, from 6:45 PM to 8:30 PM. Each course consists of 7 weeks – 5 courses per year. Take one, two, three, or all 5.
Cost $50 Annual Registration – Each Course $45
